3 Days Kibale NP
Kibale national park is located in the districts of kabarole, kamwenge approximately 320km by road west of kampala. It is 766km2 in size and its located between 1100and 1600meters in elevation, the forest contains both lowland and montane forest. Kibale national park is the home to a large number of endangered chimpanzees, as well as the red colobus monkey and the rare L’Hoest’s monkey. The park also has 325 species of birds including the olive long tailed cuckoo, green tinkerbird and the African grey parrot. Other terrestrial mammals that are found within kibale include red and blue duikers, bushpigs, warthogs and buffaloes. Kibale adjoins Queen Elizabeth national park to the south to create a 180km-long corridor for wildlife between isasha, the remote southern sector of Queeen Elizabeth national park and sebitoli north of kibale.
